There are several rare things to have in Kending. The first one is “raining all day long” and the other is hit by an intensified tropical storm. And I was very lucky. I got both on Aug 12-13, 2007 at my annual Kending trip.
So it was my best choice to be inside National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium to enjoy th slow move of jelly fish.

Another luxury hot-spring resort with orient mediation style is recommeded to stay if you are heading to Kending via the east. This resort is renowed as Hotel Royal SPA in Yi-Lan. My kids missed Kending a lot, especially the marine animals. In 2006, my family took a trip to Kending and discovered that the penguin exhibit is finally opened. Kids love live penguins and it was the first time to experiencing that penguins swim around by attraction of fish-style toys hold by them, incidentally. It is astonished by the BIG aquarium for demonstrating how tall the seaweed is.
